These exclusive punches have the same 3-point, CB, Ultra 10 cutting edge as the Phase 3 cutting rule and are also Vydax® coated (a Teflon®-like material) for easy entry and release with no distortion of the corrugated board. The punches are also edge-hardened and provided with a heavy base for durability and longevity.

For Flat Dies
The cut-ability of punches has also been significantly improved. The performance improvement is so great and the advantages are so significant that Container Graphics markets its exclusive punch under the trade name of Thin Wall Power Punch™. To appreciate the improvement, one must first be familiar with a conventional punch. A conventional punch has a relatively thick wall that restricts the punch's penetration into the corrugated board and creates board distortion. Complete cutting and stripping can be difficult to achieve with a conventional punch. Container Graphics' Thin Wall Power Punch has a thin wall (0.028" thick) that easily allows the punch to penetrate the corrugated board with reduced press tonnage and improved scrap strippage. The Thin Wall Power Punch is even coated with Vydax (a Teflon-like material) to further ease penetration and improve cut-ability. Although the Thin Wall Power Punch has a thin wall at the top, it has a thicker base for durability that does not interfere with cut-ability.
