Container Graphics Awarded a Patent for a Rotary Die Improvement
CARY, NC (October 18, 2006) Container Graphics Corp. was recently granted USA Patent 7,111,345, titled "Resilient Scrap Stripper for a Corrugated Board Rotary Cutting Die". CGC will market the innovation under the trade name of ScrapBlasterTM for rotary corrugated die applications.
This innovation was developed to better manage corrugated scrap in large scrap areas of a rotary cutting die. ScrapBlaster aggressively pushes interior waste off the die, holds it against the anvil, and releases it well below the paper path. This better ensures that the scrap does not enter the diecut product load, eliminates stacking issues, and improves converting productivity.
